Job ScopeProducing, packing and storing the China dairy products in conformity with quality and technical standards and quantities needed according to the production schedule, by managing the activities in such a way that the department runs efficiently with the available personnel, and without delay and losses.
Job Responsibilities
To divide the activities between his shift supervisors instructing them about the quality and quantities needed to be produced in conformity with the production schedule.
To keep informed about the actual situation, receiving information about the process, quality aspects and technical situation. Checking activities and seeing that all activities are executed in conformity with standards and procedures. Taking actions in case of aberrations in quality, in amounts to be produced and packed, in technical operation of the installations, in raw materials and packa?ging materials supplied. Solving these problems together with departments concerned.
To inform the Technical Manager about any technical problems able to disturb his mission.
To make sure that the employees are working in accordance to safety and hygiene instructions and receive recipes for products.
To ensure a good housekeeping and cleaning of the installations and the department.
To execute, if necessary, the operational activities for producing and packing the needed production, include the cleaning activities by him.
To receive daily the "10 days in advance" production schedules from the Production Control manager of the factory, and transferring it to the shift supervisors. In case of unexpected problems, changing the production schedule due to changes in demands from the Logistics department, technical break downs in his department. Informing his shift supervisors and reorganizing the dividing of his employees among the activities.
To approve the schedule of the employees suggested by the shift supervisors.
To make sure that the daily information about stock levels of raw materials (including milk and cream) and blue crates in the factory is available for the Controlling department and the Warehouse manager.
To analyze the activities, working methods of his department. Making suggestions for improvements to his manager, especially in the fields of decreasing the losses, improving safety and hygiene for the workers and improving organization yields in the factory. Participating in daily production meeting and periodical meetings with the factory manager and discussing department affairs, investments and developments.
To monitor the personnel matters of his department in accordance with the guidelines from the Human Resources department and his manager, i.e.:
-Giving his employees permission for holidays
-Organizing short breaks for his employees
-Stimulate and motivate his employees
-Involved in hiring and introducing new personnel to his department
-Organizing transfer of his personnel
-Organizing training for his employees
-Making procedures and instructions for his employees and introducing them to his employees
-Evaluating his employees and making suggestions for i.e. salary and promotions.
To follow the developments in producing, packing and storing set and stirred yogurts by reading periodicals, receiving information from suppliers and attending training programs, being in touch with the SITEX, to improve permanently the skills of his department.
To prepare daily and weekly production reports about amounts produced used raw materials and packaging materials (including blue crates), organization and machine yields. Receiving reports from his shift managers and checking them.
To make sure that a shift supervisor is part of the monthly inventory in the factory, with the controlling.
To take over the responsibilities of the shift supervisor in case of emergencies

Nuisance of noise, moisture, temperature differences when working in department. Nuisance of chemicals during cleaning operations.
Travel RequirementsAs required by job duties.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Job Holder Requirements
Working ExperienceAt least 3 years in a similar position, within a large food related company with complex production & technical specifications.
Experience in milk/beer/beverages/food industry would be an advantage.

EducationUniversity Degree – Technical or agricultural or food technology background
